I’m Heather Dougherty, the person behind http://www.fizzicality.co.uk, a resource for people who, like me, love Champagne and sparkling wine.

I’ve been a wine educator and writer for over ten years, during which time my obsession with Champagne has led to me becoming UK Champagne Ambassador in 2018 and passing the Wine Scholar Guild Master Level Champagne qualification. In 2022 I became one of the first Advanced Level Cava Educators.

My love of wine extends beyond bubbles though, so occasionally I post about other wines that have grabbed my attention, especially the Rhône and Rioja, as I am a Certified Educator of both regions. The Loire Valley and Languedoc-Roussillon are also specialities.
